Tomorrow, July 5th, ten candidates for president will be participating in a forum at the National Education Association Representative Assembly in Houston. Questions will be related to education. In attendance will be former Vice President Joe Biden, Former HUD Secretary Julián Castro, Mayor Bill DeBlasio, Sen. Kamala Harris, Gov. Jay Inslee, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former Rep. Beto O’Rourke, Rep. Tim Ryan, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Educators will play a vital role in the presidential election; 1 in 39 voters is in an NEA household and 1 in 100 Americans is an NEA member. The NEA is the largest professional employee organization, consisting of three million educators who advance the cause of public education.
