Passing of Ron Gibson

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Ron Gibson, a giant in the history of District 203. Ron graduated from North Central College after student teaching at Lincoln Jrnior High School. He became a teacher at Lincoln in 1966.

From 1970 until 1972, Ron served as the principle of Beebe Elementary School before becoming the Director Of Personnel. He held that job until 1977, at which time he opened Steeple Run Elementary School as the first principle.

In 1982, Ron became the Associate Superintendant of Elementary Education and served in that role until his retierment in 2004.

There is no information about funeral arrangements at this time.
